Fundraising Team

The Fundraising Team is responsible for managing the events around raising money for Pack 114 to fund our scout program. We run the following fundraising events thru the year:

  • Popcorn Fundraising - Fall

  • Pinewood Derby Lunch - Winter

  • Blue & Gold Silent Auction - February

  • Other Fundraising Events as Needed

The bigger the team, the less work required by everyone on the team. 

What Effort is Required? 

The Fall is our big fundraising drive with popcorn sales. It is the primary source of funds we use for the remainder of the year. Pack 114 sold just over $23,000 of popcorn in Fall 2017, resulting in just over $7000 in funds coming straight to Pack 114! This required coordination of identifying venues for show-and-sells (pop-up events for popcorn sales), collecting and organizing door-to-door sales sheets and money, finalizing our door-to-door sales order to council, and distributing popcorn to scout families for final delivery. Last, but not least, the fundraising team helped to celebrate the scouts success thru prizes and our annual pie celebration. This takes approximately 4 hours of work every week during the months of September and October. 

Our Pinewood Derby Lunch is a simple fundraiser, where the fundraising team cooks lunch and sells it during our Pinewood Derby event. This work is usually done the same day, with a little pre-coordination required for purchasing food before the day of the event.  

The membership team helps our Blue & Gold event by notifying local businesses of our event and collecting any donations those businesses offer. The team then helps to setup and run the silent auction on the night of Blue & Gold. This takes approximately an hour of work a week during the months of January and February. 

What do we need?

Pack 114 is currently looking for 4 team members in addition to our co-chairs to help with fundraising efforts. 

We need a replacement fundraising chair & co-chair! This is the last year for our current fundraising chair and co-chair. We need new chair members to train and replace them.

Fundraising Co-Chairs

The Fundraising Team is led by the Fundraising Co-Chairs. These people are responsible for knowing and facilitating the popcorn fundraising program between our pack and council, coordinating and training the team for all events, and managing money collected by fundraising.
